Also the source provides insight into the advancements that occur in all the fields of cardiology as it is a field that constantly changes through advancements in technology and research. This article discusses the action of Aortic Dilation patients with Bicuspid Aortic Valve."Congenital heart defect in adults, affecting 1.3% of the population worldwide" (Verma et al). Congenital heart defect is a serious problem that affects a small population of the world however it is a still a serious issue.  However, technologies define the treatments of the heart condition. In the article it was discovered that technologies such as imaging technology was used to see fusion patterns within the heart. The article was published in 2014 and comes from the England Journal of Medicine. The source is reliable as EJM is a major known association pertaining to the medical field. The publisher of this article is a Medical Doctor and this source was discovered through the England Journal of Medicine as the physician is associated with EJM. I will use this source to derive the technologies in my research and also determine whether technology should be used in such procedures.
