"Hey Doctor, Will Your Robot Be Doing the Surgery?"

Technology is certainly amazing. At one point we made something called the radio, then came the mp3 player, then the iPod, and now the iPhone in your pocket can do what a computer that once filled a massive room could and even more. So now we must apply this to the treatment of the heart. What if i could tell you that the technology that went into your desktop is capable of saving your life? Thats right! The all new technology that has revolutionized the field of medicine is constantly advancing and today there are innovations that will change the field of medicine forever! So would you rather have your surgeon slicing you open and sticking your hand in between your sternum? If not then it seems like you'd like our robots because they are clean and precise!

Team "Call me Old Fashioned"

Trust is the foundation of a relationship. For most physicians the strongest relationships they form is not with their staff, nor with their instructors or students, it's with their patients. Ultimately alot of us are afraid of new change because we are so used to conservative methods that embracing change seems like a complex process. Alot of us also believe that technology is only reliable when a man is in control of that technology. So if your afraid that our robots will turn into an eighteen wheeler like optimus prime we still maintain the hands of our physicians very useful. So make use of our physicians hands and go with team "Call me Old Fashioned!"

The Question

So to determine which side of the debate you are on you have to ask yourself one thing, what kind of treatment would you give your heart? No research is conducted without a destination as no ship sails into the see without a voyage that it is destined to depart far.  So "To what extent does technological improvements in cardiac surgery enhance the field and treatment of patients?"
